             Welcome to Helping Hands Outreach

A large number of children come from financially challenged families that face simple educational as well survival issues on a daily basis. Unemployment, illiteracy, and language are common place. The fact of the matter is, there is an “At-Risk” youth population in our community who

needs our help.  Over 52% of our youth live in non-traditional homes or dysfunctional families. Eighty-nine percent of these young people do not have anyone to provide general guidance to promote personal and social responsibilities.

The US Department of Education reports that, at least eight million

school-aged children are left alone and unsupervised between the hours of 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Given this trend, the need for quality after-school programs has never been greater and provides endless benefits to our youth and society as a whole.

Many of these children perform poorly in school and have health issues because they have no one to depend on for general guidance to promote personal and social responsibility or educational attainment.

We are seeking a regular base of supporters who would each commit to providing a donation of $5,000

a year. With the current uneasy economic climate, this relatively small sum should be a reasonable

consideration for most businesses. While any contribution, either smaller or greater, would certainly be

welcome, it is the reliability and regularity of donations that will allow us to plan for and commit to the

future of those most in needs, low-income families, single parents, and at-risk children.  Please help us

continue to serve them --- We help our community by helping others.
